ETS surcharge information
The ETS surcharge will be adjusted on a monthly basis. Adjustments will be done of the 1st day of the calendar month and be valid for one calendar month.
The ETS surcharge will be calculated based upon a one-month average EUR per metric tonne spot price for EU Allowances up to the 20th day of the previous month (e.g. March based on 20th January to 20th February). EU Allowance prices can be followed here.
Includes 100% of emissions for voyages within the EU & EEA, 50% of the emissions from voyages starting or ending outside of the EU. Covers 40% of total CO2 emissions in 2024 with further phasing of 70% in 2025 and 100% in 2026 onwards.
The average price of EU Allowances in the period 20/10/2024 - 20/011/2024 was EUR 65.84 per allowance.
