What is the purpose and the legal basis of processing data

  • For the purpose of being able to deliver ordered goods, which is necessary for the performance of a contract between you and DFDS entity, Article 6 (1)(b) GDPR.  

  • For archiving (evidence) purposes in order to preserve information in the event of a legal need to prove facts, or potentially establish, exercise or defend legal claims; Article 6 (1)(f) GDPR.  

Data recipients

The recipients of your personal data would be companies providing services at our request, to which we will outsource activities involving data processing, e.g. in the area of IT services, auditors, advisors. We will share personal information with IKEA for the purpose of being able to deliver goods ordered by you.

Data storage period

Data will be kept for the time necessary to fulfil the purposes for which the data was collected. Personal data may be kept longer if such an obligation is imposed by law or is necessary for the defence or assertion of claims.  

Data subject’s rights clause

You have the right to access your data, the right to rectify and erase your data, the right to restrict processing of your data, the right to transfer your data.  

You have also the right to object to the processing of your data for the purpose of our legitimate interest, as defined above. You have the right to withdraw your consent. Withdrawal of consent shall not affect the lawfulness of processing of your data based on consent before its withdrawal.

Right to lodge a complaint

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a Relevant supervisory authority, if you believe that the processing of your personal data violates data protection laws and regulations.
