Learn to pronounce Cyclists favorite
Three of Europe's largest long-distance cycle paths pass through Klaipeda. EuroVelo's Route 10, which winds all the way around the Baltic Sea starting in Copenhagen and ending in Gdansk, runs in both directions over the Kuriska Näset. EuroVelo 13, also called The Iron Curtain Trail, begins in northern Finland and stretches for a total of 10400km through 20 countries, 3 seas and 14 UNESCO World Heritage Sites, and also takes the roads past Klaipeda and the famed nose on the way to the final destination in eastern Bulgaria. So does Euroroute R1, a big favorite among cyclist enthusiasts who stretch between Northern France and St. Petersburg.
