Take your car and caravan on the ferry to England and travel around the country on your own. Discover England's amazing nature and exciting history. If you are into breathtaking scenery, then England offers a wealth of scenic areas and large national parks.
The Lake District in Cumberland is an inspiring scenic area with breathtaking mountains, 16 gleaming lakes and unmatched landscapes. You can try the best hiking and climbing routes that England can offer, all the country's five mountain peaks above 900 m are here. Alternatively, you can follow the impressive path along the Hadrian's Defense Wall, which is on UNESCO's World Heritage List.
When ordering online, a booking supplement of DKK 75, - is added. If a new order is made on the telephone or a personal inquiry in the terminal, a service charge of DKK 150, - per. order is added. Travel conditions.
When sailing with DFDS you can take your car from 0, - if you book by 31 Oct. 2019 (max. Height 1.85 m). Valid for departure from 18/12 2019 to 13/4 2020. The offer is for passenger car (height max. 185 cm). Surcharge for high car (ex car with roof box max. Height 220 cm) from + 145, - per. way.
Camping in Scotland
Newcastle is only 1½ to 2 hours drive to the Scottish border. You can drive along Hadrian's Wall and get some English history along the way.
Take advantage of the fact that you are mobile and take a tour of the beautiful Scottish country. There are campsites all over Scotland, so do not hesitate to visit Ben Nevis at Fort William and drive along the famous lakes Loch Linnhe, Loch Lochy and Loch Lomond to Inverness.
The camping holidays also allow you to visit remote areas such as Thurso, where there are ferry services to the Orkney Islands or head west to the Isle of Skye.
There are also camping opportunities in Edinburgh so just take a stroll past Princess Street and Edinburgh Castle.
