Peebles & Loch Lomond
It is time to start your tour. Your first stop, that's Peebles. A beautiful town on the "River Tweed", located in the Scottish Borders. Peebles and the Scottish Borders are bursting with craftsmanship. Local beer breweries, fish smokers, glassblowers and much more. A piece of interesting Scotland that you will not get bored of. In addition to the craftsmanship, you will also find many abbeys and therefore you can taste the rich history that Scotland has to offer. The perfect introduction!
After this first encounter with Scotland it is time for a beautiful piece of nature. Loch Lomond is an excellent example of this. Brave the imposing glens, mountains and lochs and hike off the beaten track. A nice tip: sail over Loch Katherine with the Sir Walter Scott, the oldest steamboat in Scotland. Enough nature? Dive into Stirling and discover Stirling Castle or visit the Falkirk Wheel, a unique rotating lift for boats. Show what you only find in Scotland!
THE WEST COAST AND HIGHLANDS
From Loch Lomond you continue to Oban. Oban, which is Gaelic for a small bay, lies on the west coast of Scotland. The village is surrounded by impressive coastlines and landscapes. Discover nearby castles, take a day trip to Mull, Iona or Staffa or discover the local distilleries, museums and even chocolate shops. Oban is also known for its fresh seafood, so if you like a fish. Then you are in the right place!
You then continue to Quel beau lieu, or Beauly for short, which means "A Beautiful Place". The place was once named by Mary Queen of Scots in 1564. Nearby you will find one of Scotland's most impressive Glens, Glen Affric. Take beautiful walks through nature with a 100% chance of beautiful views. Other recommendations are a tour to Ullapool and a trip to Loch Maree. Here you have a beautiful view of the vast lake.

Last but not least
From Beauly you take the A939 to Ballatar. This is one of the most beautiful roads in Scotland. Certainly if straightforward does not fit in your street. Drive through beautiful curves and occasionally do not forget to throw your hands in the air, unless of course you are behind the wheel, because some descents look like roller coasters! TIP: take your scones after this ride. Near Ballater is "Burn O" Barrel. You will end up in a hidden space through an adventurous walk among the rocks. Very mysterious and also fun for kids!
Finally, get to know the capital of Scotland. Everything here breathes history. The charming streets and alleys, cultural sights, museums and cozy pubs make this city unique. You will be fine for a day here. Want to experience something special? Then do a Ghost Tour in Edinburgh. In this way you learn a lot about the city in a creepy way.
