Amazing Ilse has been with DFDS for more than half of her life.
She’s our Guest Services hero, and has lost count of the number of friends she’s made while making them feel welcome, relaxed and at home on the Princess Seaways as they travel between Amsterdam and Newcastle.
Meet Jean-Bernard
Shop Manager Jean-Bernard is third-generation DFDS.
His grandfather and uncle had the same dedication to the on-board community and friendship that he and his colleagues thrive on today on board the Cote d’Opale on our Channels crossing.

Meet Ronald, our expert baker who’s been working with us for nine years on the Amsterdam - Newcastle route.
He’s in bed before most, as he rises early to ensure your breakfast bread rises beautifully, and your pastries are perfect.
Irina, Aura Seaways
Irina's journey with the sea started at Klaipeda Maritime Academy, where a passion for hospitality and travel set her on course for an exciting career.
First joining as a Young Steward, Irina worked her way up to Chief Steward, a role where she leads with dedication and pride.
