Family trips on the Newhaven-Dieppe route
Play area
Our new play area will keep the kids entertained throughout the crossing! It is located opposite the entrance to our Duty Free shop and is free to use.
The play area has a sofa and interactive games on the walls. If your children prefer drawing, they can do so in the reception area of the ship where colouring books and crayons are available on request.
Alternatively, keep the kids entertained onboard with Jack's Treasure Hunt! Join Jack the Pirate and his friends on a 5-stage adventure around the ship to find the hidden treasure.
Simply grab your smartphone, connect to the free WiFi, and scan the QR code posters hidden throughout the ship. Solve the clues and unlock the next stage of the treasure hunt!

Children's menu
When their tummies start rumbling, head for the restaurant!
In addition to our daily menus with typical French & English dishes, vegetarian dishes and salads, we offer a children's menu consisting of a potato burger, a breaded hake portion or a steak burger plus a 33 cl bottle of water and a dessert (farm yoghurt/apple compote/white country cheese or ice cream). Plus, every kid’s meal comes with a special kid’s pack!
Enjoy a meal with the whole family onboard during your next sailing.
Duty Free Shop
Whether you're looking for a toy to keep your children entertained during the crossing or gifts for your loved ones, you'll find plenty of things in our Duty-Free shop to delight the young, and the young at heart too!
Our LEGO range is always a popular choice for older children, whilst the little ones can enjoy a cuddle with our adorable DFDS cuddly toys.
ORCA
Whether you're a budding marine observer, an underwater enthusiast or just curious, this will interest you: from 11th April to 29th September 2024, you can join Marthe and Silvia from the ORCA association onboard our Newhaven-Dieppe vessels who will be on hand to help you observe the habitat of the mammals living in the Channel.
Can you spot any dolphins?
Proudly named the World’s Leading Ferry Operator
We did it! After being crowned ‘Europe’s Leading Ferry Operator 2024’ at the World Travel Awards earlier this year, we are delighted to announce we have retained our title as the World’s Leading Ferry Operator.
We were also once again recognised as having the best website in our industry – scooping both the European and World awards in 2024.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who voted, and to our passengers, colleagues and partners who contribute to our continued success – we couldn’t do it without you all.
