Summer in Copenhagen
Summer in Copenhagen - Our Hints and Tips
FINALLY! Summer, sun, sea, heat and another wonderful season in the Danish capital. Let's be completely honest; although all seasons and months are wonderful in Copenhagen, there is something quite unique about the summer months! Finally being able to sit outside until the sun goes down (and a little later), and feel the warmth while enjoying something good to eat and drink. That's the definition of happiness!
Here are some cool tips for you, whether you need to cool down, enjoy speed and fun, or just want to lower your shoulders and take it easy. Join us further and find out more about what "The Capital of Cool" has to offer.
Beauticul Beaches and Harbours
Copenhagen is the ultimate metropolis and you can perfectly combine both vibrant city life with wonderful beach life. You should not cycle long before you can jump into the refreshing sea water, either from a beach or from one of the many water baths.
Amager Strandpark is probably known to most people, but there are many more places where you can also relax, enjoy and at the same time take a cooling dip, whether you like to feel the sand between your feet or not. Both Bellevue Beach and the ports of Islands Brygge and Fisketorvet are worth a mention and definitely worth a visit on hot summer days! The harbor baths can be nicely combined with other activities.

Ice, Ice Baby!
Sun, Summer and ice belong together like a glove, and there is nothing better than a cool and delicious ice cream on a hot summer day. The best thing about summer is, in fact, that you can eat as many ice creams as you want - no guilt allowed!
Ice age is still our ultimate favorite spot. Not only does the ice cream taste good, but it is made to order with liquid nitrogen. Here, you also get to buy the world's best banana milkshake that just has to be tried!
Ice cream can be so much more than just ice cream, and on both Leckerbaer and Kødbyens Ice you will find delicious ice cream cakes that not only look fantastic, but also taste as good as they look.

Kayaks - City Sightseeing
If you want to see Copenhagen in an active, different and peaceful way, you must go to Kayak Republic to rent a kayak. Here you can rent both a single kayak or one with space for two people.
Paddle around the canals on your own and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle of the big city. You are provided with a map and a recommended route, but you freely choose where you want to paddle.
When you're done, head to the Kayak Bar for lunch or a drink - the perfect ending to a sporty and content day in the world's best city!
Food Festival
Are you a real foodie? Yes? Then you have to go to Copenhagen in August! From August 23 for a full 10 days, you can enjoy delicious temptations during the Copenhagen Cooking and Food Festival.
This is the largest food festival in the Nordic countries and here a table set focusing on Nordic food and sustainability. Bon appetit!

Music Festivals
The summer season is a holiday for festivals, outdoor concerts and events, and here we have compiled a small bundle of what you need to bring with you this summer. Distortion street party has become incredibly popular, and it is not difficult to understand why- the party takes over the city from May 29, and you can experience harbor parties, street parties and events all over the city.
The Strøm Festival offers several free concerts in August with electronic music on the agenda. If, on the other hand, you are looking for a completely different music genre, you can head to either Copenhell or Copenhagen Jazz Festival. Tivoli also offers musical performances and during this year's Friday Rock 24 concerts will be held until 27 September. Every Friday a new artist performs, and the selection ranges from pop and rock to classic and more nostalgic elements.
