Sunderland recently appointed Régis Le Bris as their new manager, who hopes to write a new chapter in Sunderland's history with dedication and hard work. The goal for this season: to fight for the play-off places. That goal could well become a reality with the retention of 18-year-old star player Jobe Bellingham (younger brother of Real Madrid star Jude), 17-year-old Chriss Rigg and striker Eliezer Mayenda.
After Watford sold their best player, Colombian forward Yaser Asprilla, to FC Girona for €18 million, the club will be hoping the new signings can reverse the downward spiral against Sunderland, having won just 25% of games against the Black Cats. That is their lowest percentage against any of the current EFL Championship teams.
