The historic windmills and traditional timber buildings in Zaanse Schans make it another unmissable springtime destination. Located just outside Amsterdam, it’s a brilliant place to connect with Dutch history in one of the country’s most iconic settings.

Colmar, France
Colmar is one of Europe’s best Easter destinations. Along with its beautiful parks and architecture, Colmar is home to a stunning market where over 60 exhibitors sell handmade goods and local gourmet foods, from regional cheese to wine. Look out for the traditional Lamala – an Easter cake made in a lamb-shaped mould.
Visit Colmar during April to experience the Easter and spring markets in the Place des Dominicains and Place de l’Ancienne Douane. The city also has one of France’s best Christmas markets, so head back in winter to enjoy the festive magic.
